Artworks! is a collaborative art program that
provides exciting weekly art activities for children residing at six
area shelters and treatment facilities. Coordinated by the Shelter
of Flint, this project is part of the ongoing efforts to provide
positive activities for children at Transition House, R.E.A.C.H.
Teen Runaway Shelter, Shelter of Flint, Y.W.C.A. Safehouse, Whaley
Children’s Center, and Flint Odyssey House Child Development Center.
This
on-the-road program combines learning and fun with exciting art
projects. The children get the chance to explore different forms of
art through area art events and to showcase their own work in
exhibits throughout the year in the community.
