Giving for the Future
Bequests by Will: Make a provision in your will to designate a certain amount or percentage of your estate be left to help carry out the mission of Shelter of Flint.
Gifts of Real Estate
Shelter of Flint accepts gifts of real estate or personal property. We can help establish the full fair market value for the gift.
Life Income Gifts
A Charitable Gift Annuity allows you to make a gift in return for a fixed amount of annual income. In addition, tax benefits are derived from the gift. We offer this attractive method of giving through the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.
Charitable Remainder Trust
Assets placed in a trust and earnings produce income for you and your family. Upon your passing, Shelter of Flint becomes the beneficiary. Your attorney and accountant can help you with this option.
Memorial or Donor Designated Funds
Creating a tribute or memorial fund is a great way to recognize a loved one. Shelter of Flint can assist in setting up a fund for contributions made at the time of death of a loved one. Or, we can establish a fund in honor of someone with income from the fund directed at a certain project, program or scholarship.
