Emergency Shelter
Assistance at the Shelter of Flint begins with the Emergency Shelter program (ES), serving homeless single women, single parents with children, as well as two parent households. Capable of providing 68 clients with up to thirty days of nutritious meals and safe shelter, the ES program also offers a wide range of supportive services to help them establish permanent stability.
Unlike many other homeless shelters, Shelter of
Flint attempts to address the underlying issues of homelessness by including programs such as GED preparation, job readiness training and the availability of affordable housing in our series of supportive services.
