Shelter of Flint took an important step in 2000 toward closing the circle of homelessness with its formation of the Rosewood Development Corporation. This wholly-owned subsidiary of the Shelter of Flint helps strengthen the local availability of quality, affordable permanent housing for all members of our community. Through its Rosewood Developments, Shelter of Flint owns and manages 453 units of affordable and senior housing. The project, developed with the support of the Corporation for Supportive Housing, Michigan Capital Fund for Housing, and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, offers a number of on-site services and activities to address tenant needs and interest.
