Shelter of Flint took an important step in 2000 towards closing the circle of homelessness with its formation of the Rosewood Development Corporation. This wholly-owned subsidiary of the Shelter of Flint is helping strengthen the local availability of quality, affordable permanent housing for all members of our community through the construction of Rosewood Park Apartments, an 18 acre, 120 unit development of two and three bedroom apartments in Mt Morris, Michigan. 

The project, developed with the support of the Corporation for Supportive Housing, Michigan Capital Fund for Housing, and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, will offer a number of on-site services and activities to address tenant needs and interest areas. Construction of the units began September 2001 and is on schedule to be completed in later this year.

From the design, to the amenities offered, Rosewood Park will set the standard for living in Genesee County. The management of Rosewood Park Apartments will be Piper Realty, a company in business since 1919.
